This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar storage Supreme Pharmacy uses on this website, what each one is for, and how you refuse the ones that are not essential. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so that it can recognise the browser on the next page or the next visit. We also use your browser's local storage, which works the same way for our purposes and is covered by this policy.
2. The four categories, and what each one does
The cookie banner asks you about four categories, and these are them. Only the necessary category is on when you arrive: the other three stay off until you switch them on, because saying nothing is not the same as saying yes.
2.1 Necessary — always on
- Your cart, so the items you picked are still there when you reach checkout.
- Your signed-in session, so you are not asked to log in on every page.
- Your cookie choice itself, so we stop asking once you have answered.
- Security tokens that protect checkout and forms from abuse.
- These carry no advertising or tracking purpose, and the shop cannot work without them — which is why the banner shows them locked rather than pretending they are optional.
2.2 Functional — off until you allow it
- Language and display choices you have made.
- Your delivery area, so a quote does not start from nothing each visit.
- Recently viewed products and recent searches, to save you finding them again.
2.3 Statistics — off until you allow it
- Which pages are visited and which products are viewed, in aggregate, so we can see what is useful and what is broken.
- Where people give up on a journey, so we can fix that step.
- How you arrived at the site, so we know which of our efforts are worth continuing.
- We do not use this to identify you, and we do not sell it.
2.4 Marketing — off until you allow it
- Whether an offer or a campaign led to a visit or an order, so we can tell which are worth running.
- How often you have already been shown a particular promotion, so it is not repeated at you.
- Turning this off does not mean fewer adverts — it means the ones you see are less likely to be relevant. We do not sell what these cookies record.
3. Third parties
Some pages load services run by others — payment providers when you pay, and WhatsApp when you message us — and those services may set their own cookies under their own policies. We have no control over them beyond choosing to use the service.
4. Saying no, and changing your mind
The banner offers three answers. Accept all cookies switches on all four categories. Reject all keeps only the necessary ones — it is one button, the same size and in the same place as accepting, because a choice that is harder to decline is not a choice. Cookie settings opens the four categories so you can allow some and refuse others, then Save current settings records exactly that.
Your answer is stored on this device with the date you gave it, so we can honour a partial answer rather than treating everything as all-or-nothing. Clearing this site's data in your browser erases the answer and the banner asks again.
Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies entirely through its settings. Blocking the necessary ones will stop the cart and sign-in from working, because those are the cookies that make them work.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a category of cookie we will update this page, and the effective date above will show the version in force.
